USSF 2010: Another World is Possible…coming soon

The RPMA will be reporting live from the United States Social Forum (USSF) in Detroit, MI this coming week (June 22-26, 2010).

It is important to note, that Detroit is the home of the second largest Mexican/Latino population in the Midwest. The Mexican/Latino neighborhoods of Southwest Detroit shares a similar history to other border cites due to its location on the borderland of the US and Canada border.

The USSF is “a movement building process. It is not a
conference but it is a space to come up with the peoples’ solutions to the
economic and ecological crisis.”

Part of our reporting will be a joint podcast show with RADIO FREE AZTLÁN, a project of the Xicano Development Center. The podcast shows will cover immigrant rights, art, and activism. Also, we are recording from the streets of Detroit with “Voices Of The USSF.” Our goal for both shows is give a voice to the colonized people living in the US Empire and las americas.

Also, we will have a number of individual’s blogging (Facebook and Twitter) on our website about workshops, events, exhibits, and actions.
